The Florida Keys Wildlife Society
The official friends group for the Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the four National Wildlife Refuges of the Florida Keys through education, non-adversarial advocacy, volunteerism and fundraising.
The National Wildlife Refuge System, within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, manages a national network of lands and waters set aside to conserve America’s fish, wildlife, and plants.
The Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges encompasses nearly a half a million acres of land and water habitats critical to the survival of numerous species of wildlife.
The Florida Keys Wildlife Society was formerly known as Friends And Volunteers Of Refuges – Florida Keys (FAVOR) formed in 1997 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization .
